EDUCATION

Tomsk GIS-Center has good facilities of training specialists and organizing extension and refresher courses in the field of new information technologies. By now two educational programs have been developed:

  1. Geoinformation technologies in the environment protection.
  2. New information technologies in oil geology, oil production and transport.

EXTENSION COURSES PROGRAM

Lectures 10 hours.

  1. Geoinformation systems and GIS- technologies.
  2. Methodology of interdisciplinary environment studies using GIS- technologies.
  3. GIS- technologies for the analysis and forecasting of the environmental state.
  4. Optimization of the selection of nature-protection technologies for the rehabilitation of damaged territories using GIS- technologies.
  5. Application of airspace information to solve environmental problems.

Laboratory works 16 hours.

  1. Multilayered electron maps in GIS.
  2. Geoinformation system for the forecasting of environment pollution zones.
  3. Environment and oil-gas resources geozonation of territories.
  4. Computer selection of nature-protection technologies on the base of the complex analysis of the environmental state.

Notes:

  1. Professors of leading Tomsk universities and specialists from scientific institutes of Tomsk Scientific Center are invited to lecture and carry out laboratory works.
  2. Laboratory works are carried out on the base of scientific laboratories of the Institute of Petroleum Chemistry, SB RAS, and Tomsk GIS-Center, SB RAS.

  8. Application of airspace information for the solution of environmental problems.

  1. Formation of the databases in GIS.
  2. Multilayered digital maps in GIS.
  3. Revealing and mapping of anomalies in the environmental state using GIS- technologies.
  4. Simulation of the contamination dispersion in atmosphere.
  5. Simulation of the contamination dispersion in surface water.
  6. Geoinformation system for forecasting of environmental pollution areas on the basis of scenarios of enterprise development.
  7. Environment and oil-gas resources geozonation of territories.
  8. GIS-means for the complex analysis of the environmental state of the territories.
  9. Computer selection of nature-protection technologies on the basis of the complex analysis of the environmental state.
  10. GIS for the assessment of the oil-gas content of territories using the database of geochemical and geological information.
